In or near a door (or within 18″ of the floor) safety glass must be used. There are two options. Tempered glass is stronger, but there are no tempering ovens on Cape, so all tempered glass takes a week or two to arrive here. Laminated glass is cut by us on location, so we can offer same day replacement service. Also, when tempered glass breaks, it shatters and leaves your business open to the elements. When laminated glass cracks, the plastic film inside the glass keeps it intact and protecting you from the weather.
